Prince Alexander Sergeyevich Menshikov (1787 – 1869) founded glassblowing factory in Klin near Moscow
1887

The new factory counts 80 glassblowers producing color glass bottles and other decorative glass accessories

Years of Soviet industrialization
The magazin "Soviet Toy" (1936) reports about strong growth of glassblowing production in the region of Klin. Christmas decoration from Klin replaces German imports

Economic recovery after the World War II
The slump of glassblowing industry caused by the disaster of WW II is weathered. The production volumes reached the prewar level.
1970s-1980s
Consolidation and technical modernization
In 1970s all glassblowing factories are moving under the hood of the Ministry of Local Industry. Several factories will be merged to a single legal entity under the label "Елочка"(Yolochka).
2000s
Facilitation of arts and crafts
In 2002, the Ministry of Science and Technology of Russian Federation approved the application of the governmental commission to grant Yolochka's artworks with the status of "Traditional Russian Crafts"
